Flairs™ is the competitive and pre-professional show company at CMSDC.  Company membership is offered for the more serious dancer, and invitation is by auditions only.  Flairs have the opportunity to perform in community productions as well as regional and national competitions.  In addition to performances, Flairs™ offer their time volunteering.  Dancers are encouraged to be involved and give back to their community.  Flairs™ philosophy is to be a “light” in the community and to raise up dancers that will set a positive example in the dance and performing arts world.  Flairs™ volunteer and perform at local children’s homes, nursing homes, charity events, churches and fundraiser events.  “You are the light of the world……. let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” Matthew 5:14; 16

The company is divided into Mini,  JV and Varsity squads.  Age range for Mini  squad members are from 5-8.  JV squad members range from ages 9-12 and Varsity squad members range from 13 – high school seniors.  Company members are taught and prepared for auditions and rehearsals as professional dancers.  Company members are required to take specific technical classes each week outside of rehearsal time. Flairs is considered a full time commitment throughout the year and members will attend rehearsals together several hours each week.  If you would like more information on auditions please contact Director Christal Shurley.
